A Few Of My Favorite Things

The first of our trees to change colors.

My sweet new cuddle bug.

Roasting veggies for supper. All of them fresh from our garden.

My nursing/reading corner in our bedroom.

The best apples our tree has produced yet.

Our ever growing piles of wood & building fires in our stove these past few chilly nights.

Everything seems so in order around there. We have a bit of chaos around here, but I think(hope!) we're about to turn a corner....

Off the subject... any chance I could get your cherry pie recipe?! After our visit I went to a little market and bought a bunch of freshly frozen cherries because all I could think about was that pie : ) Know it was only a few ingredients, but seem to have forgotten just what they were. No rush... imagine you may be a little busy there!

This post is off-the-chart on the coziness scale. Really, really wishing we could come and hold that little burrito baby of yours. Such a sweetheart. Does Craig plan to put a roof on that firewood box? You should see how people here cover their firewood. They really take it seriously, as many heat their homes entirely with wood. A lot of houses are built with a larger roof overhang just to cover the wood pile. Pretty clever. We're enjoying our new wood stove a lot, and are getting more wood on Saturday. We'll come sit in front of yours if you return the favor. ;)
