After a good month of not feeling well most of the time I have so much catching up to do I don't know where to start. I guess a relatively easy place is here on the blog. Here are some recent photos. Oh & don't ask me what my laundry room looks like.

Dear Micah,
Well Mr. Man, you are now six years old! Your first year of school is almost over. It's so hard to believe. So far age six seems like it's going to be kind of hard for us all. I think (hope) that school is starting to wear you out. I say I hope that, because I hope that's the main reason for your extreme emotions right now. You have always been a tender little soul and it seems very obvious lately. You are such a good boy and so concerned about doing the right thing at school. When you get home all the stress seems to come out. You are so obviously a first-born child. I think you worry a little too much. I hope we can help you relax and have a nice summer. Yesterday morning you had a bad attitude and I talked to you about it when you were brushing your teeth. Shortly afterwards I walked by our bedroom and saw you in there praying. That made me feel so much better. You are such a sweet, smart, charming little boy. You are a good student, friend, son and big brother. We love you very much and look forward to this next year with you.
Love,
Mom

2. Met Sherilyn and the kids at Wisconsin Dells for some water park fun.
3. Got stuck in the huge snowstorm that area got on Thursday and Friday.
4. Made it home in time to spend the weekend with family.
5. Celebrated Micah's 6th birthday with close friends and family on Sunday.

Day Two Of "Spring" Break
The constant background noise is the sound water dripping off the roof and trees. That's a good sign right.......right?!

Spring Break And Books
Today is the first day of Spring break! Yea, no schedule or alarm clocks for a whole week! Possibly even some fun at Wisconsin Dells is on our horizon. Even though it's "Spring" break it still looks like Winter here. In fact we could get up to four inches of slush and snow tonight - ugh! This weather makes me feel like reading. I love to read to the kids, but since school has started it seems like we don't have much time for it anymore. This week is the perfect week to read a chapter book. Does anyone have any suggestions? We've already read 'Charlotte's Web', 'Stuart Little' and all 'The Little House Books'. Do you think almost six is too young to start the "Harry Potter" books? I'd love to hear any one's suggestions.

Thursday Afternoon
I had big plans to do a photo essay of our day today, but something is wrong with my camera. I think maybe some little fingers were messing with the settings. Anyway, I haven't had time to try and figure it out, so no photos. We do have news though. We heard the baby's heartbeat at my first midwife appointment today! That is exciting for many reasons. First of all just hearing the evidence of that little life within. Secondly sharing that experience with Ayla. She was so excited that she shouted, "Mom, I heard the baby beep!" Another very exciting thing is that we weren't expecting to hear a heartbeat, because we didn't think I was that far along yet. So, I may be closer to the end of first trimester sickness than I thought. YEA!!! I go next week to get an ultrasound and a better idea of a due date. Stay tuned.

A Daily Conversation
Ayla: I just went potty.
Me: Did you wipe?
Ayla: (Nods her head)
Me: Did you flush?
Ayla: (Another nod)
Me: Did you wash your hands?
Ayla: (A long pause and a very guilty look) No.
Me: Well, go wash your hands.
Ayla: But what if there's a monster in the kitchen?
I'm not kidding. Every single day.
