Hot Chocolate
1 cup raw milk
1/3 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup sugar or stevia to taste
5 oz good dark chocolate, chopped
Simmer the milk, cream and sweetener until just boiling. Stir in the chocolate until melted. Don't let it boil. Curl up with a cup of this, a good book and a snugly blanket. Actually, make that a snugly child. There, don't you feel warmer already?

Hi I am blog hopping tonight and ran across yours - hope you don't mind if I comment! I was reading the one of the allergies.....I have many allergies and its so frustrating! I made tapioca pudding using coconut milk. Its not as sweet as with sugar but if you aren't having sugar then it will taste sweet! I have also used quinoa. If she can have cinnamon you can make a sort of snack by making her a baked apple with the cinnamon.
Its a huge challenge - but you seem to be doing an excellent job!

Thanks. I appreciate all of the suggestions. The hard part is making sure other people aren't giving her things she can't have. She's usually good about saying she can't have something, but last night I caught her eating candy a friend had given to her!
hot chocolate...that's what i need!! how cold is it there????
It's an absurd temperature right now. It's like 10 below or some such nonsense.
do you know that i made your recipe for hot chocolate last night and that's all i had for supper? ;-) yummmy!
Thank you... this sounds divine.
