Springter Or Some Such Nonsense

It's Spring, but it feels like Winter. It's Spring, but we wish it were Summer.

I think Ayla's outfit perfectly sums up the former sentences. The swim goggles are a bit of wishful thinking on a day like today. It is cold enough that we have a fire burning in the wood stove. It is cold enough that Craig is outside covering up all the plants that we don't want to die tonight. The good news is that we aren't camping like some people we know!

"springter" :)

Only in WI do you get 30's and 70's all in ONE week. Glad we're warm and snug in our house.. only 3 miles away from the freezing campers :)

Yeah camping & our furnace died on us sat night & it was really cold in there this morning! I washed my hair in the sink because I wasn't gonna freeze by taking a shower. Fri night Ken's didn't have hot water & Kerry's didn't have heat but it wasn't all that cold Fri nite. Sure was glad for my down comforter. I wore every jacket I had on Sat. But it was still fun.

It was a bummer that it rained Friday night. Our walk Saturday morning was chilly BUT... I think I forgot about it already. After our walk, Kerry and I played basketball with the girls and we warmed up quickly. The bonfire felt really good but isn't that what camping is all about - sitting around the bonfire! The weather didn't dampen our camping weekend! 6 girls and 2 adults in our camper - I think the girls had run of the camper. Hehehehe. Yes, a fun weekend!

You'd have froze this am in our camper for sure! I warmed all my clothes under the covers before putting them on so i could get up.
I hate the cold. But it was fun. Next time we'll take you Mindy, in your tent!!

I adore this picture. What a cutie. It was cold here, too. We covered our plants, too. Just in case, but it didn't get that cold after all. I wasn't going to take any chances.
