I'm Slipping

Last night Craig told me he was worried about me. When I asked why he said it was because we were hosting Thanksgiving & usually by this time I have half the meal prepared & ready to be cooked on the big day. This year I have nothing done other than the grocery shopping. I can make the pies, cranberry sauce & stuffing tomorrow can't I? For some reason I've been in a fog all fall. It never really seemed like fall to me & I'm just kinda frozen in place waiting for it to happen. At this rate winter is going to hit me pretty hard. Oh & Ayla has been driving me nuts lately. She's permanently glued to my side. Her "reason" for this is that she's scared of the old maid from our card game. Sound familiar Uncle Seth?

Don't feel bad we are leaving for your place tomorrow and I have nothing done either. Guess it will be a late night for me. What is your weather going to be like? See ya soon!

Amy, don't stay up late making a breakfast dish. We have oatmeal & eggs - that's all we really need. It's supposed to be cold & maybe it will snow - it's only a 30% chance. Have a safe trip!

i made homemade marshmallows today for the sweet potato thingee but i'm not too thrilled with them. they taste much better but are really sticky. we'll see how they are by thursday. i've got cream of mushroom soup on the stove for the classic green bean casserole (revised of course)! i was very happy to find french fried onions with no yucky plastic fat at trader joes =) i'm also making stuffing and pumpkin pie. but it's not at my house...whew. have a great holiday!

I'm not cooking at all. Does it make you feel better? Just thought it might help.

Actually, I am cooking a little bit. I'm making chili tomorrow and 2 pumpkin pies (frozen crusts from TJ's plus other TJ ingredients). :)

I'm just going to drink a gallon of high fructose fully hydrogenated turkey flavored lard oil.

Actually lard is good for you ;)
